The Walton County Master Gardeners invite you to participate in their 2024 Tree and Plant Sale. Orders will be taken by email only. Orders will be accepted through Friday, December 1, 2023. Plant pickup will be Friday and Saturday, January 19 and 20, 2024, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, at the Walton County Fair Grounds, 732 N. 9th Street, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433. This is adjacent to the Walton County Extension office.
Please send a email to waltonmg@ifas.ufl.edu to request a MG Plant Order Form 2024 and MG Tree/Plant Sale price list. The list includes each plant’s name, the size of the container it is in, and the price per plant. Some plants may be listed more than once if multiple container sizes are offered. Fruit-bearing plants are listed first, and these are not subject to sales tax. The remainder of the plants listed are subject to Florida’s 7.5% sales tax for Walton County, which they will calculate. We will call you a few days before the pickup date to confirm your final order and price. Payment is due at pickup and can be made by cash with exact change, or by check payable to the University of Florida.
The Walton County Master Gardeners offer plants for sale that come from approved vendors and the plants are cold-hardy for Northwest Florida. If you are not familiar with all the plants, detailed plant information may be found by entering the name of the plant you’re interested in, followed by edis.ifas.ufl.edu in your browser search bar. You may also call the Master Gardeners at (850) 892-8172. When you come to pick up your plants, Master Gardeners will be at the Fair Grounds to answer your questions, direct you where to pickup plants, and assist with loading.
