Plant a pine for your valentine at a Florida State Park

February 12, 2024

Roses, chocolates and greeting cards are great, but The Florida State Parks Foundation thinks the best way to celebrate Valentine’s Day is to Plant a Pine for your Valentine!

For just $1, you can plant a native longleaf pine in a Florida State Park and help them  reach their goal of planting 100,000 longleaf pines by Earth Day 2024. We love Florida’s native longleaf pines, the ecosytems they support and the habitats they create for our precious wildlife.

You can even dedicate your pine to your Valentine for a gift that makes a generational impact.

Longleaf pines serve a crucial role in Florida’s ecosystem, providing habitats and resources for dozens of endangered species. But these incredible trees now only occupy a fraction of their former footprint. That’s why they started the Plant a Pine campaign to restore these trees to their rightful place of prominence by planting 100,000 pines in one year. They are so close to reaching our goal, and we would LOVEto cross the finish line on Valentine’s Day!

So Plant a Pine for your Valentine and show some LOVE for Florida’s amazing natural environments.
