Panhandle area Florida State Parks continue to reopen for day use

May 9, 2020 – The Florida State Parks in the Panhandle area are continuing to reopen with limited use.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park has opened for day use only. It will be for 50% capacity and there will be no tram service to the beach. The park will close once 50% capacity is met. To protect the health of the staff and volunteers only exact change or credit cards will be taken at the ranger station. No change will be given. Social distancing is required.

Located in Santa Rosa Beach, the park is located 1/4 south of U.S. Hwy 98 on western end of Scenic Hwy. 30A.  ::MAP:

Admission Fees –  $6.00 per vehicle (up to 8 people) – Scenic Hwy. 30A just north of U.S. Hwy. 98
Pedestrians, Bicyclists, Passengers in vehicles with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Permit – Admission Fee $2.00

Eden Gardens State Park is open for day use activities. House tours are unavailable until further notice. Restroom availability may be limited, all other park facilities are closed. Visitors are expected to maintain distances of at least six feet apart and limit group size to ten or fewer people.

Restroom availability may be limited, all other park facilities are closed. Visitors are expected to maintain distances of at least six feet apart and limit group size to ten or fewer people.

Driving Directions: Grayton Beach State Park is located in Walton County, South of U.S. 98 off of Scenic Road 30A. Take county road 283 south from U.S. 98, turn left at the stop sign on 30A (approximately 1/4 mile east of the intersection of C.R. 30A and C.R. 283 the main entrance is on the right). ::MAP::

Camp Helen State Park is open for day use activities (see hours of operation and fee information below). Restroom availability may be limited, all other park facilities are closed. Visitors are expected to maintain distances of at least six feet apart and limit group size to ten or fewer people.

Driving Directions
Camp Helen is located at 23937 Panama City Beach Parkway, Panama City Beach, FL, just west of the Phillips Inlet bridge on the Bay County and Walton county line. The entrance is south of U.S. Hwy 98. ::MAP::

There is an honor entrance station. The fee is $4.00 per vehicle and $1.00 per bicyclist or pedestrian.

Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park is open for day use, 8 a.m. to sunset. Boat/kayak launch available. Restrooms and trash cans are available, all other park facilities are closed. Normal park fees apply. Visitors are expected to maintain safe social distances of at least 6 feet apart and limit group size to 10 people.

Driving Directions:
Falling Waters State Park is located 3 miles south of Chipley off State Road 77, turn left on State Park Road and follow it to the park s entrance. From I 10, take Chipley Exit south on State Road 77 and follow signs to the park.
