Ever wished you didn’t have to pay high prices for the mushrooms in the grocery store? Wish you could grow your own? Pemberley Farm Homestead in Chipley is hosting a mushroom growing class on Saturday, February 11th, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
They will have a class teaching you to grow your own mushrooms. We will supply a log and mushroom spore. You will inoculate your log and go home with that log and a notebook with information about how to care for it. Grocery store mushrooms don’t hold a candle to ones you grow yourself, in flavor or size.
Cost is $25 per person. This is a hands-on class and will be held outside. If it is very cold that day, the instruction part will be held inside and the logs themselves will be worked on outside. Refreshments will be served.
