Walton County Sheriff’s Office hosting free summer camps in July

The WCSO Citizen Services Unit and School Resource Deputies will host two free summer camps in July. The first camp will take place July 7 thru July 11 and the second will run from July 21 thru July 25. The camps will be held at Maude Sanders Elementary School, located at 416 John Baldwin Road, DeFuniak Springs, for children ages 6 to 10 years of age. Health advisory issued for Bayshore Drive area in the Choctawhatchee Bay

June 6, 2014 Walton County – Due to a sewage spill, the Florida Department of Health in Walton County (DOH-Walton) is issuing a health advisory for the Bayshore Drive and surrounding areas in the Choctawhatchee Bay. This health advisory is also issued for the unnamed lake off of Forest Shore Drive. South Walton designer collaborates to create book of 30A sunsets

There’s a new coffee table book available along 30A, and it is chock full of images most everyone can agree as special – “The Sunsets of 30A.” The 128 page coffee table style book is filled with stunning images. The book is the brainchild of publisher Cindy Moskovitz, who has been enjoying South Walton sunsets with her family since the early 80s.
