Walton County, Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Division of Recreation and Parks are once again teaming up to provide parking at no-charge for summer beach goers between May 27, 2016 to Sept. 5, 2016.

Starting on May 27, 2016, regular day-use admission fees will be waived for public entrance to Topsail Hill Preserve State Park through a reimbursement program administered by Visit South Walton (VSW). The Walton County tourism agency has been directed by the Board of County Commissioners to reimburse the state park up to $25,000 for entrance fees through Sept. 5, 2016 for both visitors and residents.

VSW and the County Commissioners are dedicated to promoting safe and continuous traffic flow along Highway 30A. The successful numbers shown throughout the inaugural agreement in 2015 encouraged the repeat of the program along the scenic corridor.

The arrangement will attract visitors and residents for outdoor recreation opportunities, support the Walton County Tourist Development Plan, and increase beach access parking availability along Highway 30A.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park’s tram service will continue to operate service each day from 9:00 a.m. until sunset at least twice per hour to provide transportation to the Park’s beach access from their public parking lot.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is located at 7525 W. Scenic Highway 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459. For more information, call (850) 267-8330 ::MAP::
