The 4th Annual Walton County Earth Day Festival and 5K Race will be held on April 21, 2012 at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park.
The event will kick-off with a beach clean up, where you can pitch in and help clean up the Gem of the Emerald Coast. The festival will include: children’s activities, educational games, sustainability demos, music, guided hikes, a silent auction, food and fun for all ages. Many environmental agencies, local artists, and area businesses will be on hand to educate and entertain festival-goers. The 5K Race will start at 4 p.m. and the runners will bring a close to the event as they cross the finish line. Click here for race brochure.
Festival organizers are looking for participants that would like to set up a booth or sponsor the event. Click here for Earth Day Sponsorship packet. Please consider coming out and representing your organization by educating the public on natural resources, environment, sustainability, health and wellness, and many other possibilities. Organizers ask that your booth be interactive in some way to engage the visitors. Cost is $25 for-profit businesses and free for non-profit and government. We also need in-kind donations, sponsorships and volunteers. This is a great community event and we hope you will participate.
