International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) day is Saturday, September 16. ICC is one of the world’s largest annual events devoted to the preservation and protection of our oceans, waves, and beaches. Come out, bring your family and friends and be a part of this major volunteer event!

An important goal of ICC is to document and study the type of trash collected during the global cleanup. In 2022, Walton County volunteers collected 4,293 items. The top 4 items collected in 2022 were: cigarette butts (855), plastic bottle caps (523), other plastic waste (497), and food wrappers (489).
