Prime time for fishing everywhere! After a long cold winter, fishing is wonderful! Fresh/Bay: Fishing is great on the river! Large crappie, bream, bass and shellcracker are being caught. An 8 1/2 lb. bass was caught last week in the river! Speckled trout and redfish limits are being caught every day. Eden Gardens State park gets tree lift for Arbor Day

Tree trimming donated by local tree service for Arbor Day Eden Gardens State Park’s live oaks got a “tree lift” on April 20. Downey’s Trees Inc. of Santa Rosa Beach trimmed the trees in the state park as a gift for Arbor Day. Fishing is great everywhere! Fresh/Bay: Fishing is great on the river! Large crappie, bream, blue gill and shellcracker are being caught. Saltwater: Cobia is doing great and some pompano are being caught. Speckled trout is picking up, black drum, and a few pompano. King mackerel are being caught now that the temperature is rising.
