Splash pad opens at Helen McCall Park in Santa Rosa Beach

New feature to keep kids cool this summer Walton County District 5 Commissioner Cecilia Jones hosted a ribbon cutting May 25, 2012 for the new splash pad at Helen McCall Park. Transit of Venus and evening star gaze at Henderson Beach State Park June 5

Join in on an evening of planet and stargazing Time: 5 – 10 p.m. Henderson Beach State Park will host a once-in-a-lifetime event, the transit of Venus. The Venus transit begins at approximately 5 p.m. and will be seen as a small dot gliding across the face of the sun.  This rare event will not happen again until the year 2117.
