Fluffy Landing neighborhood in Freeport boasts new community dock

The Freeport neighborhood of Fluffy Landing now has a community dock to enjoy fishing and views of the Choctawhatchee Bay. The dock is intended to be a walk to park for the surrounding neighborhood, and does not provide parking for drive to services and does not have any available restroom facilities. FWC approves several changes to Gulf cobia management

At its December meeting in Gainesville, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) took final action to approve several changes to the management of cobia in state waters of the Gulf of Mexico. These changes are based on stakeholder input and concerns from anglers, and will further promote sustainable management of this fishery. FWC certifies new state record shoal bass caught on the Chipola River

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) fisheries biologists certified a new state record shoal bass weighing 5.95 pounds and measuring 22.4 inches long, caught by 14-year-old angler Sheldon Grace from Headland, Alabama.
