Boat launch and fishing area closing at Clyde B. Wells Bridge Dec. 13

Construction work for the new Clyde B. Wells Bridge on U.S. 331 in Walton County will permanently close the boat launch and fishing area on the southern end of the bridge Friday, Dec. 13, 2013. Plans are to construct and open a new recreation area near this location once the new bridge is completed. FWC announces license-free fishing days Nov. 29 and 30

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced that Friday, Nov. 29 will be a license-free freshwater fishing day, and Saturday, November 30 will be a saltwater license-free fishing day. Governor Scott said, “License-free fishing days serve as a great opportunity for families to enjoy the incredible fishing opportunities that Florida has to offer. Cast net fishing demonstration at Grayton Beach State Park Nov. 20
