Volunteers needed for South Walton beach clean up July 5

The South Walton Community Council invites locals and visitors to participate in the annual July 5 beach clean-up. The cleanup efforts will take place from 7-9 a.m. Volunteers will provide bags, gloves and water for volunteers at designated beach accesses. Long-running Hobie race runs from Grayton Beach to Seagove and back The 17th Rags to Riches Regatta is set for Sun., July 1, 2012. South Walton lifeguard tower stolen

The South Walton Fire District (SWFD) filed a report of a stolen lifeguard tower with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) on May 23, 2012. When SWFD lifeguards reported to their post for duty at Ed Walline Beach Access they discovered the lifeguard tower was missing.
