Stargazing at Eden Gardens State Park March 20

February 29, 2020

CANCELLED – Join the park rangers for an after-hours park experience gazing at the heavens from the lawn at Eden Gardens State Park. The event will be held on Fri., March 20, 2020 from 7 – 10 p.m.

In partnership with the Northwest Florida Astronomy Association, the park will offer the opportunity to gaze through the lens of several telescopes with local astronomers guiding your eye to the sky.

Feel free to bring your own telescope, as Eden Gardens is one of the darkest sky urban areas south of the I-10 corridor. It will be dark, so please plan accordingly, bringing flashlights with a red lens for light diffusion. Meet on the lawn adjacent to the Wesley House.
