Beach parks with easy access, parking, lifeguards and restroom facilities
Walton County’s beaches in Miramar Beach and along Scenic Highway 30A offer many public beach accesses. However, lifeguards patrol only eight locations. These eight locations offer adequate parking, restroom facilities and three offer handicap access with wheelchairs available: Ed Walline at the corner of Scenic Hwy. 30A and CR 393, and Bramble Grove/Santa Clara Street in Seagrove and Miramar, near Pompano Joe’s on Scenic Gulf Drive.
Lifeguards are on duty from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., seven days a week from the first Saturday in March until the last Sunday in September.
There are many more beach accesses along Scenic 30A, and all of them have flag poles which are numbered. If you are in need of assistance, by identifying the pole number, you can easily inform emergency personnel where you are. The complete listing of numbers are at the end of this story.

Each of the 29 beach flag poles in South Walton are numbered by the TDC and assist beachgoers by providing a reference point if they are unfamiliar with their location on the beach. This “quick reference will further assist the SWFD in getting a lifeguard and medical help to you should the need arise.
