Rosemary Beach Unleashed Community Festival Dec. 4

November 18, 2011

Location: St. Augustine Park, Rosemary Beach
Time: 1 – 4 p.m.
The public is invited to a free community festival—an afternoon of music, art, refreshments and children’s activities in promotion of Alaqua Unleashed and the need for pet adoptions and animal-welfare advocacy.   A centerpiece for the festival is a 6-panel (6’ x 10’) mural created by eight accomplished artists, from photos submitted by pet owners. This art for public space will be exhibited for two months in Rosemary Beach from December 4, 2011 – February 6, 2012 and will then be transported to its permanent location at Alaqua Unleashed (formally known as the Bark Park) located on J.D. Miller Road in Santa Rosa Beach on 18 acres of county owned land.

Music provided by 30A Radio from 1– 4 p.m. Dance performances by 30A Dancewave at 2 pm and Gigi’s Fab Kids at 3 pm.

Contributing mural artists are Lauren Carvalho, Paul DeDenus, Jane Dunworth, Emily Fossum, Kristina Perry, Amanda Rhodes, Allison Wickey, and Eileen West. Heritage Builders constructed the mural. Proceeds benefit Alaqua Unleashed and Rosemary Beach Foundation.
