A new trailhead into the Point Washington State Forest trails has opened in Seagrove. The new location named 30A Trailhead offers abundant parking, picnic areas, bike racks, and restrooms and is located just west of The Lodge Hotel and directly behind YOLO Board and Bike, 4695 E County Highway 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Coordinates 30.31164° N, 86.10090° W
The “Pink Tail” is marked with pink blazes and ties directly into the Eastern Lake Trail which is part of the Longleaf Greenway Trail. The hike is an easy, pleasant walk or bike which will bring you to the headwaters of Eastern Lake, one of the area’s coastal dune lakes along with access to the primitive campsites. The trailhead offers abundant parking. There is an informational kiosk at the trail head location as well as educational interpretive signs scattered along the trail.
