The Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance (CBA) of Northwest Florida State College and Bluewater Bay Marina are hosting a Marina Day celebration on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, with fun activities that highlight our connection to Choctawhatchee Bay. All ages can enjoy fish printing, touch-tanks with local aquatic life, paddle board tours, a volunteer OYSTER reef build, and more.
CBA enjoys a strong partnership with Bluewater Bay Marina, which has earned the Clean Marina designation from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). To become designated as a Clean Marina, facilities voluntarily implement a set of environmental measures designed to protect Florida’s waterways. These measures address critical environmental issues such as sensitive habitat, waste management, stormwater control, spill prevention and emergency preparedness.
