Mattie M. Kelly Environmental Institute is presenting a Make Your Own Rain Barrel Workshop on Friday, November 16, 2018, 11 AM to 12 PM in the Robert E. Greene, Jr. Science Building (Building 350), Room 127 on the Niceville Campus of Northwest Florida State College.
Only 10 barrels are available to make. They are $25 each, and rain barrels are reserved for those FIRST registered, first served. RSVP now for a barrel.
In addition, however, observers are welcome for FREE! You may still watch barrels being made and learn about the process even if you don’t make your own barrel!
To register, you must email mkei@nwfsc.edu or call (850)729-4915 (leave a message.) The ten participants who register first to make a barrel may pay by cash or check payable to University of Florida on the day of workshop. The fee covers barrel and fittings. Favorite tools from home are allowed. Be prepared to take your rain barrel home. Don’t wear loose clothing or dangling jewelry. Close-toed shoes are preferred. Tools and safety equipment are provided.
