Witches of South Walton Ride Oct. 30
The Witches of South Walton will be riding again along Scenic Hwy. 30A for the 12th year in a row. The event will be held on Fri., Oct. 30, 2015 at 6:30 a.m. The witches ride for a cause of course, as a benefit for the Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN. The registration cost is $30.00 which includes access to the Gathering Brunch and 3 tickets for Mimosas. Raffle tickets are $5.00.
Access to R.S.V.P. can be done through www.WitchRide.com and will begin at Noon (CDT) on Friday September 18th 2015 to Midnight (CDT) on Saturday October 24th 2015.
The in person registration event will take place on Thursday October 29th 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at La Playa in Gulf Place on the Town Center Loop side of the restaurant. Cash or checks for registration and raffle tickets. Checks can be made out to Children’s Volunteer Health Network.

Halloween Happening in downtown DeFuniak Springs Oct. 30
The DeFuniak Springs Business and Professional Association is hosting a Halloween Happening from 6 – 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015. The event will be held along Baldwin Avenue.
Children’s Trick or Treat along with a costume contest for ages up to 10 years old. There will also be a Pumpkin Patch People contest for area businesses in DeFuniak Springs. Click here to download rules and guidelines.

Haunted trail walk at Rocky Bayou State Park Oct. 30
Join the Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park staff and volunteers on Friday, October 30, 2015 for a haunted trail walk sponsored by The Friends of the Emerald Coasts State Parks. The Walk will follow the half mile Red Cedar nature trail. The Haunted walk will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. There will be a separate area for smaller children including decorated play area, face painting, and watercolor painting.
The haunted trail is known to inhabit ghosts, spiders, wolves, and spooky sights. Come join in for a night of fright and fun.

Zombie 5K fun run and walk in DeFuniak Springs Oct. 31
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Zombi 5K Fun Run and Walk in DeFuniak Springs Oct. 31. The event will start at 7 a.m. at the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, 752 Triple G Road, DeFuniak Springs.
Runners get 3 flags. Survive by keeping at least one flag. Lose them all and you will be infected! Halloween costumes are welcome.

North Walton
DeFuniak Springs – 5 – 7:30 pm. – Trick or treat along the lake on Circle Drive.
South Walton
Seaside – 4 – 6 p.m. – Ghosts, goblins, and princesses trick or treat for candy and more from Seaside merchants. Hear spooky stories and do the monster mash with the Seaside Repertory Theater.
Baytowne Wharf, Sandestin – 6 – 8 p.m. – Ghouls and goblins trick or treat through the Village and visit merchants for your favorite Halloween treats. Get ready for some frightening good tunes on the Events Plaza Stage starting at 6 p.m. Fly board extraordinaire Ben Merrell will perform a special Halloween show in the lagoon, and to end the evening enjoy spooky fireworks as they light up the sky at 8 p.m.
Grand Boulevard – 4 – 7 p.m. – Trick or treat around area merchants.
Halloween Bash at the Cypress Cattle and Produce Farm
Things get a little frightful on Oct. 24 at the farm. Head over to the Halloween Bash, haunted corn maze, and enjoy Luke Langford and the 331 South Band fire up some great country music from 5 – 9 p.m.
Cypress Cattle and Produce swings open their farm gate for some fall fun with a corn maze, pumpkin patch and an assortment of activities. The enjoyment includes more than 7-acres of pumpkins, a 5-acre corn maze, 2-miles of trails, hayrides, farm animals, slides, corn pond, corn hole, and horseshoes.
Hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be available.
Tickets are $10 adults 18+, $6 youth ages 6-17, free for children under 5.
