Enjoy a guided kayak tour of Peach Creek May 28

Hosted by Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance, Discover Roads Less Traveled eco-tours will introduce you to some very special places in South Walton.

We will launch from Eden Gardens State Park, paddling Tucker Bayou to Peach Creek. Discussion topics will include marsh ecosystems and local history, including building of the Intracoastal Waterway, logging on the Choctawhatchee River, turpentine industry, and local history.

Moderate or higher exertion level, depending on wind conditions. Participants are asked to bring at least a quart of water, snacks if desired, forecast-compatible clothing, and personal comfort items (i.e. sunscreen, bug spray, etc.).

Kayak rental is included in the $60 cost. If you bring your own kayak, pay $45 for the tour.

Space is limited to 8 participants. Minimum of 4.

Location: Meet at Eden Gardens State Park, 181 Eden Dr, Santa Rosa Beach

Fee: $60 + park entry fee – includes kayak rental. $45 + park entry fee – if you bring your own kayak.

All events subject to cancellation. In the case of inclement weather, registrants will be notified by email or phone the afternoon/evening prior, and fees will be fully refunded.

Individual cancellations will be accepted and fully refunded up to 1 full business day (24 hours) prior to the tour. No-shows forfeit entire payment.
