Join the Choctawhatchee Audubon for a field trip to Point Washington State Forest. The trip will be led by biologist Tom Greene. This follows his program at our meeting the previous Thursday evening. See various species of pitcher plants and other inhabitants of the wet prairies. Meet at the Tom Thumb at the intersection of Hwys 98 and 331 in S. Walton County at 8:30 AM. Bird walk at Shoal Sanctuary with Choctawhatchee Audubon September 14

Join the Choctawhatchee Audubon for a bird walk at the Shoal River Sanctuary hosted by Bob and Chris Larson. See upland species at this magnificent, privately owned parcel on the upper Shoal River in Northern Walton County.. Dress for a short hike to the river bluffs and steephead branch with good shoes, water, and insect repellent. Meet at the Niceville Food World at 7:30 a.m. to carpool. Choctawhathcee Audubon bird walk at Ft. Pickens September 28

Join the Choctawhathcee Audubon for a bird walk at Ft. Pickens, Gulf Islands National Seashore on Sept. 28. The walk will be led by Alan Knothe, noted local birder and biologist. Bring water, insect repellent, long pants, and closed-toe shoes, and be prepared to walk. Meet at Uptown Station in Ft. Walton Beach at 7:00 AM or at Langdon Battery at 8:15.
