Enjoy an afternoon of music, activities and more October 15
The South Walton Community Council will be hosting their 10th annual Back to Nature Festival on Oct. 14 – 16, 2011. The weekend of fun events will be held across South Walton and will include a variety of outdoor activities for the entire family.
One of the featured events this year will be Celebrate Nature at Seaside on Oct. 15 from 12:30 – 4:30 p.m. Enjoy an afternoon at the Seaside Amphitheater with live music, wildlife exhibits, children’s activities, environmental and green building displays. Bring your blanket or lawn chairs and spend the afternoon.
“Celebrate Nature at Seaside, is a celebration of nature and community. We wanted an event that could bring the whole community together, for an afternoon of music and fun. The Seaside amphitheater is just the ideal place. Seaside has been a long time supporter of our Back to Nature Festival. We are thrilled to be working with Adam Shiland, Seaside’s Event Producer and The Seaside Merchants again this year,” said Jacquee Markel, South Walton Community Council, president.
The lineup of activities include:
• Live music from Kyle LaMonica, acoustic rock singer songwriter
• Live music from Elizabethtown, Americana and bluegrass influences with
singer songwriter Chris Alvarado
• E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center, wildlife exhibits: birds of prey, reptiles, tortoises
and recycling education
• Audubon of Florida with Alan Knothe, saving our shorebirds, outreach
• Farmer D Organics, Atlanta based organic farming advocate, education
• Silent Auction, cool art, hippest stuff in town. Proceeds benefit the South
