Improvements on the way for Cowford Landing on the Choctawhatchee River

Walton County is in the contractor bidding stage of making several improvements to Cowford Landing on The Choctawhatchee River. The scope of work includes the construction of a new parking lot, sidewalks, restroom, two overnight shelters, timber boardwalks, and a new floating dock with ADA kayak loading station. Morrison Springs health advisory rescinded

Walton County July 22, 2020 — Effective immediately, the Florida Department of Health in Walton County is rescinding the July 8, 2020 health advisory for the Morrison Springs bathing place. Area Florida State Parks make improvements during shutdown

While Florida State Parks were temporary closed to the public, park staff at Falling Waters State Park, Ponce De Leon Springs, and Camp Helen State Parks have been able to complete several projects.
