HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – Today, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Florida Park Service announced the opening of Gilchrist Blue Springs State Park in High Springs, Florida’s 175th state park. Bay front park on the Choctawhatchee Bay inches closer to reality

With the recent purchase of close to 6.6 acres on the northwest end of the Clyde B. Wells (Hwy. 331) bridge corridor, Walton County is getting closer to creating a new park on the Choctawhatchee Bay.
