Camp Helen State Park Fall Festival Oct. 8

Camp Helen State Park will be hosting a Fall Festival on Saturday, October 8 from 12 noon – 5 pm. There will be fun, food, and games for the whole family. Admission into the park for this event is free, although donations are accepted.  Donations will go directly to the Friends of Camp Helen State Park to benefit the park’s resource management projects and interpretive programs. Walton County Fair in Defuniak Springs Oct. 3 – 8, 2016

The Walton County Fair, a tradition since 1924, kicks off six days of family fun on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016. Sticking to its roots as an agricultural fair, there will be livestock competitions every day including rabbit, poultry, hog, horse, lamb, goat and cattle shows. The Fair also provides an opportunity for youth and adults to showcase their artwork, handicrafts, growing crops. 5K Family Hike at the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center Sept. 24

The E.O.Wilson Biophilia Center teams up with the Walton County Health Department for the Biophilia Center 5K Family Hike on Saturday, September 24th. Gates open at 7:00 a.m. and last hikers must begin trail by 8:30 a.m. Registration from 7:00-8:00 a.m. First Hikers hit the trail at 8:00 a.m. $5 per person or $20 per family.
