CANCELLED – The City of Freeport Parks and Recreation is hosting a Night at the Park at Freeport Regional Sports Complex from 5 – 8 p.m. on Jan. 4. The event is free and the family fun will include a bonfire, live entertainment, hayrides, and bouncy house. Hamburgers, hot dogs, smores, coffee, and hot chocolate will be available. The South Walton Fire District in conjunction with Gulf Place will host their 6th annual Polar Bear Plunge on New Year’s Day at Ed Walline Beach Access. The event will be held from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Registration is from 11 – 11:45 a.m. at Gulf Place, located on the corner of Scenic Hwy. 30A and CR 393.
