The 23rd Annual Seeing Red Wine Festival at Seaside will be held from Oct. 31 – Nov. 3 throughout various locations in Seaside. Thurs., Oct. 31: 7 p.m. – Vintner’s Dinner at Bud & Alley’s Restaurant Bud & Alley’s proudly announces the annual Fall Wine Dinner, as the kick-off to the Seeing Red Wine Festival weekend, featuring Jed Steele, winemaker for Steele Winery, as the special guest vintner. All you can eat pancake breakfast at WaterColor Fire Station Oct. 12

South Walton Fire District is hosting an “all you can eat” pancake breakfast on October 12th. This event is in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week with proceeds from this event going towards the purchase of fire prevention/education material. This event is being sponsored by Watercolor Inn. School story book turns to reality for 3rd graders at West Defuniak Elementary

The third grade classes of West Defuniak Elementary have been reading a book called “Aero and Officer Mike.”  The story is about Corporal Mike Matsik and his K-9 partner Aero, who have been partners for four years.  Through words and action-filled photographs, the story captures the two on duty working as one and describes their relationship at work and at play, on duty and off, at the station, responding to emergency calls, and during ongoing K-9 training.
