Walton County fishing report for Dec. 14

Fishing is good for those that are getting out there! Choctawhatchee Bay: Good trout fishing in the bay and up the creek along with some stripers. Catching  5/1 on the small side. Folks reeling them in with #52 Mirrolures and grubs with 1/4″ heads. Creeks/river: Crappie fishing has picked back up again on the river. Walton County fishing report for Dec. 7

Fishing is good for those that are getting out there! Choctawhatchee Bay: Tons of bait fish in the bay. Sheepshead are back and being caught with just the right size shrimp we have in the shop!  Stripers are chasing mullet up the creek and competing with the trout. Lots of small redfish being caught. It’s all about speckled trout! Choctawhatchee Bay: Lots of trout being caught. One report of 75 specks reeled in, 15 of them keepers. Folks using #52 sinking Mirrolures along with tiny white flutes. Fishing is great! Choctawhatchee Bay: Good bit of trout and a some redfish being caught along with some sheepshead. Folks have been catching them best fishing deep. Small shrimp and Canaday tiny flutes and Zoom tiny flutes. Folks have been reeling in bass as well. Huge mullet, so big you can’t even fry ’em, you can smoke them though. Big roe too!
