Nice black drum reeled in at Tucker Bayou

Walton county resident Todd Hall reeled in a nice size black drum around 10 a.m. on Aug. 18. The drum was caught off the CR395 dock at Tucker Bayou in Point Washington. “I caught it using live shrimp from Copeland’s, circle hook 2/0, 10 lb. braid with 30 lb. leader, and 1 oz. weight. FWC increases lionfish harvest opportunities, asks public to help

Invasive, non-native species no longer has bag limits The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced changes to the lionfish harvest at a media event today in Coral Gables. Harvesting invasive lionfish no longer will require a fishing license when using certain gear, and there is no recreational or commercial bag limit.
