FWC announces license-free fishing days Nov. 29 and 30

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced that Friday, Nov. 29 will be a license-free freshwater fishing day, and Saturday, November 30 will be a saltwater license-free fishing day. Great turnout for the Nick’s Chicks inaugural fishing tournament Oct. 12

Most any day is a great day for fishing. However, a very special day just for the ladies was held on Oct. 12, 2013 at the inaugural Nick’s For Chick’s fishing tournament. Twenty-seven ladies competed for a variety cash and prizes. Points were accrued for redfish, speckled trout, catfish and ladyfish caught from the Choctawhatchee Bay.
