Days added to 2016 red snapper season

7 days added to recreational season in November The recreational red snapper season in Gulf state waters will remain open Nov. 5-6, 11-12 (Veteran’s Day holiday), and 25-27, 2016 (Thanksgiving weekend and Nov. 26 is also a saltwater license-free fishing day). These additional days were added to the season to offset the effects of Hurricane Hermine. The daily bag limit is two fish per person within the 10-snapper aggregate bag limit. Treylermade Tournaments and Nick’s Seafood Restaurant is hosting the Freeport Bayfest Fishing Tournament Oct. 22 – Nov. 5. Compete for redfish, mullet, speckled trout, bass, and bream.
