TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—On May 30, 2024, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the record 103-day 2024 Gulf Red Snapper recreational season, the longest season since the state was delegated management of Gulf red snapper. DeFuniak Springs Kiwanis is hosting a charity bass tournament at Black Creek Lodge in Freeport March 30, 2024. The tournament will begin at first safe light with 2 p.m. weigh in.
