Freshwater license-free fishing weekend is April 2-3

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) invites Florida residents and visitors to go freshwater fishing during the two license-free days this weekend, April 2-3, 2022. License-free freshwater fishing days provide an excellent opportunity for those new to fishing without needing to first purchase a license. Charity bass tournament in Freeport April 30

DeFuniak Springs Kiwanis is hosting a charity bass tournament at Black Creek Lodge in Freeport April 30, 2022. The tournament will begin at first safe light with 2 p.m. weigh in. Prizes are $2,000 1st, $750 2nd and $250 3rd place (1-29 80/20 payout 30 boats guaranteed). Entry fee is $100 per boat, $20 big fish. Food will be available to purchase at registration at weigh in.
