Walton County fishing report for April 28

Fishing continues to be good everywhere! Fresh: Fishing is strong on the river! Large crappie, redbreast, bream, bass and shellcracker are being caught. A 9 lb. bass was caught last week in the river! Bay: Speckled trout and redfish are being caught every day.  They seem to like biting on shrimp. Prime time for fishing everywhere! After a long cold winter, fishing is wonderful! Fresh/Bay: Fishing is great on the river! Large crappie, bream, bass and shellcracker are being caught. Walton County fishing report for April 14

Fishing is great everywhere! Fresh/Bay: Fishing is great on the river! Large crappie, bream, blue gill and shellcracker are being caught. Saltwater: Cobia is doing great and some pompano are being caught. Speckled trout is picking up, black drum, and a few pompano. King mackerel are being caught now that the temperature is rising. Nice catch first day of Gulf Grouper Season

Nice catch! Dan Margagliano of Miramar Beach landed these two nice grouper offshore 15 miles south of Destin with Pete Clauson on April 1.
