Benefit run for Operation Outdoor Freedom in Point Washington State Forest Aug. 19

The Florida Forest Service (FFS) is set to host its annual Outdoor Freedom Run on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023. The event funds their efforts in local outdoor activities including hunts, fishing charters, and specialty family trips for Florida’s Wounded Veterans who have a service-connected disability from the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs or a Purple Heart recipient.

There will be three different trail runs to participate in at Point Washington State Forest.  A 3.5, 6, or 11 mile run all on the Eastern Lake Trail system.  The run/walk will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the 11-mile race. (This event is open to all individuals who want to run or walk the event!)

The runners will meet On Eastern Lake Trail system Point Washington State Forest one mile south of Highway 98 on County Rd 395 Santa Rosa Beach Fl, 32459
