Benefit run for Operation Outdoor Freedom in Point Washington State Forest Aug. 17

The Florida Forest Service is hosting its annual Operation Outdoor Freedom Run to support their local outdoor activities, including hunts, fishing charters, and specialty family trips for Florida’s wounded veterans with service-connected disabilities or Purple Heart recipients.

The event will feature three different trail runs on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Point Washington State Forest: a 3.5-mile, 6-mile, or 11-mile run, all on the Eastern Lake Trail system. The run/walk will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the 11-mile race. (This event is open to all individuals who want to run or walk.)

The races will be held on the Eastern Lake Trail system in Point Washington State Forest 1 mile south of Highway 98 on County Rd 395 Santa Rosa Beach Fl, 32459
