Inaugural Choctawhatchee River Festival at Morrison Springs May 13

RiverWay South is hosting their inaugural Choctawhatchee River Fest at Morrison Springs, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., May 13, 2017. Nature lovers of all ages will enjoy participating in a variety of educational and recreational activities throughout the day in celebration of the river.

Children of all ages will enjoy a dip in the cool spring water, paddling, and taking part in many fun activities throughout the day. Participate in a kids casting rally sponsored by Bass Pro Shops. Paddle a canoe, kayak, or hydrobike hosted by Old Cypress Canoe Rentals and Emerald Coast Hydrobikes. Walton Outdoors will be onsite to assist with water events and share recreation opportunities along the River. Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance, Northwest Florida Water Management District, Bay County Audubon Society, Ponce De Leon State Park, and Paddle Florida will offer educational and interactive displays. Take time to check out the static display with information on the Choctawhatchee River Trail improvement project.

Rabbit Creek Café will be providing food and drink.
