The Kids to Park Day, a family and community event for all ages, will be held Saturday, May 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park, located at 4281 Highway 20 East in Niceville FL 32578.
The day will include five different hikes beginning on the hour all day long. Each hike will have a booth where you can sign up for the program. The hikes include a bug hunt, a butterfly hike, a royalty hike with a book reading (participants may dress in regal attire), Ant hike with a book reading, and a tour of Red Cedar nature trail. A puppet show will begin at noon under the Red Cedar pavilion. The event is hosted by Hike It Baby, with support from the Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park.
All activities and entertainment are free of charge. Park entrance fees do apply $5.00 per car. No need to RSVP- just be prepared to have a great time.
