Camellia Festival at Eden Gardens State Park Feb. 18

Eden Gardens State Park and the Friends of Eden Gardens State Park will host the Annual Camellia Festival February 18, 2017.  Visitors are invited to stroll through the gardens and enjoy camellia demonstrations and presentations.  Living History (re-enactors) will also be present on the grounds during the festival. Local food vendors; Dog man Du delicious hot dogs and Dovalina’s wood fired pizza will be available for purchase or pack a picnic lunch to enjoy.

Camellias and other plants will be available for a donation from the nursery.

Tentative schedule for the day:  (held in the Pavilion area)

10:15 – 11:00 a.m. – Presentation on Camellias by Marie Harrison

11:15 a.m. – 12 noon – Floral Demonstration using Camellias by Tim Ard of Emerald Coast Flowers and Gifts.

12:30 p.m. – Demonstrations on Air-layering

1 p.m. – Waxing Camellia Blooms

12 noon – 1 p.m. – “The Steenos” will be performing at the Stage area.

Camellias will be available for a donation from the nursery.

Participation Requirements

Eden Gardens State Park is located in Walton County off U.S. 98 on C.R. 395. Follow 395 to park entrance sign then turn left into the park.  Admission fees are waived for this event.

The Wesley House will be open for tours starting at 10:00am and ending at 3:00pm  Applicable fees for the house tours apply.
