Zika virus has hit Florida hard and your community may be next. To create awareness and combat this looming threat, the South Walton County Mosquito Control District is hosting a one-day short course on Thursday, November 17th at the Linkside Ballroom in Sandestin, Miramar Beach, FL. The course will be from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., with registration starting at 7:30 a.m.
The $35, short course will provide information from many of the State’s top experts. Covering everything from yard inspections to hands-on-identification, the program will bring attendees up-to-speed on where container mosquitoes breed and the importance of vigilant surveillance in reducing potential breeding locations.
Whether you are a mosquito novice, golf aficionado, professional landscaper, or simply love being outdoors, everyone will leave with the knowledge to be a part of the solution, rather than contributing to the problem.
