Zika virus mosquito control course in Miramar Beach Nov. 17

doddZika virus has hit Florida hard and your community may be next. To create awareness and combat this looming threat, the South Walton County Mosquito Control District is hosting a one-day short course on Thursday, November 17th at the Linkside Ballroom in Sandestin, Miramar Beach, FL. The course will be from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m., with registration starting at 7:30 a.m.

The $35, short course will provide information from many of the State’s top experts. Covering everything from yard inspections to hands-on-identification, the program will bring attendees up-to-speed on where container mosquitoes breed and the importance of vigilant surveillance in reducing potential breeding locations.

Whether you are a mosquito novice, golf aficionado, professional landscaper, or simply love being outdoors, everyone will leave with the knowledge to be a part of the solution, rather than contributing to the problem.
