The Thunderbird Intertribal Council is hosting their annual Powwow Nov. 4-6, 2016. Celebrate Native American and Alaskan Heritage Month with activities educating the local community about Native Americans and their role in the past and the present. The event is to promote cultural understanding, and to encourage participation and
goodwill between Native and non-Native persons.

Schedule of events
Friday
Children’s Day: 9 am – 2 pm; Powwow: 7pm Grand Entry; Intertribal Dancing into the night
Saturday
Craft Competition: 10 am – 11 am; Special Performances: 11 am – 1 pm
Grand Entry & Opening Ceremonies: 1 pm, followed by Intertribal, Exhibition, Competition Dancing until 5 pm
Night Grand Entry: 7 pm followed by Intertribal Dancing, Dance Exhibitions & Competitions into the night
Sunday
Church Service: 10 am-11 am: at the Arena
Intertribal dancing, dance exhibitions, competitions winners: Noon to 4 pm
ADMISSION:
Powwow: $5; $3 – Age 12 and younger
Children’s Day: $3
