October 2: Program: The Bird Life of New Zealand will be presented by master birder, Lenny Fennimore at the regular monthly meeting. Lenny is a Cornell-trained, globe-trotting ornithologist who will share slides and stories from his recent birding trip down under. His extensive knowledge and keen wit will both educate and entertain.
The Choctawhatchee Audubon Society meets the first Thursday of the month in Room 130 of the NWFSC Student Services Center at 6:30 PM. The program starts at 7 PM following conservation topics at 6:45. October 18. Bird Walk and search for migratory song birds at Fort Pickens, Gulf Islands National Seashore, with noted ornithologist Alan Knothe. Meet at Uptown Station, Eglin Pkway, at 7:00.
