It’s time again for the annual Fall Festival at Topsail. There will be a haunted tram ride, activities, food, and games for children. This is an all ages event although there may be age restrictions on the haunted tram ride. For more information please contact the park directly at (850) 267-8330.

Halloweener Derby and Fundraiser in Seaside Oct. 26
Halloweener Derby Day at Seaside is an annual FUNdraising event. The day begins with an all-dachshund race, multiple heats (pardon the pun…) until the championship round to crown this year’s fastest dachshund.
After the Dachshund derby is the pet costume contest. For the last three years, dogs from all over the Southeast have strutted their stuff on the Seaside Amphitheater Stage.
Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Kind Heart Kennel. The Kind Heart Kennel, opening this fall, is an on-site kennel at Shelter House, the domestic violence and sexual violence center serving Walton and Okaloosa counties.

YOLO Board Adventures is hosting a Haunted Paddle from the Boathouse at WaterColor on Sun., October 27, from 1-3 p.m. Dress in your scariest costume and bring your YOLO Board to the dock to trick or treat around the lake. Witches of South Walton ride again Oct. 31, 2013
The Witches of South Walton will be riding their bikes again on Thursday morning, Oct. 31, 2013. All for a good cause as they scare up the neighborhoods along Scenic Highway 30A. All proceeds from the event will be going to support the Children’s Volunteer Health Network.
Where: Meet at Miss Lucille’s at the corner of CR393 and CR30A. Witches bike to Butler Elementary to hang there awhile to wave to the kids. The witches shove off at 7 a.m. sharp.
The Witches will regroup after the ride at Grayt Grounds of Monet Monet in Grayton Beach for brunch and raffle.
NEW additional ride: Inaugural “Fly East 30A”

(depart from Bramble Grove Beach Access in Seagrove and bicycle to Seaside)
Entry fee – $15.00, raffle tickets -$5.00 with all proceeds going to Children’s Volunteer Health Network.
You are invited to attend the Witches Brew on Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 5-7 p.m. at Grayton Bar and Grill in Grayton Beach to register and pay your entry fee. This will save time on the morning of the ride. We will also be collecting items to add to the raffle bag should anyone wish to donate something – gift certificate, Halloween décor, etc. Of course, please plan to stay for a spell!

Trick or Treat at Florida Farmers Market in Paxton Oct. 31
In conjunction with Paxton School’s Key Club, Cancer Freeze and others, Florida Farmers Market will be offering games, prizes, and sweet treats for trick or treaters under the cover of the outdoor market pergola on Halloween night Oct. 31. The event will be from 5 – 9 p.m. There will be music, a lucky ducks prize pond, fishing for prizes, corn hole bean bag toss, a treasure chest, balloon pop, a cake walk, and more. The event is free. Florida Farmers Market Café will also stay open late that night with food and coffee specials. Costumes are encouraged, however all are welcome.

Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge hosts Haunted House through Nov. 2
Are you afraid of the dark?
The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge presents their 8th Annual Haunted House at the Destin Harbor Boardwalk, 314 Harbor Blvd., Destin.
No mere roadside attraction, you will take a journey through the scariest, creepiest, most blood-curdling attraction this side of the continental divide – if you dare! This is not a haunted house for the faint of heart; small children are not recommended.
Open on Oct. 25, 26, 31 and Nov. 1, 2 at 7 p.m. until all are scared away. Admission is $9. Volunteers age 16 or older are needed now to build/design and later as monsters/victims, security, makeup, costumes, and more.
