Lifeguards will be stationed at eight South Walton beach accesses
Twenty-nine South Walton Fire District lifeguard candidates graduated training academy on March 9, 2012. Of the 29, eight are new lifeguards. The candidates completed 80 hours of medical training, surf rescue techniques, communications, beach and water surveillance techniques as well as strength and stamina conditioning.
South Walton Fire District (SWFD) lifeguards will report to their towers at eight beach access points this Saturday March 10, 2012. The Beach Safety and Education Program, a partnership between the SWFD and the South Walton Tourist Development Council (TDC), began its 7th season.

Beach parks with easy access, parking, lifeguards and restroom facilities
Lifeguards are on duty from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., seven days a week from the second Saturday in March until the last Sunday in September.
