YOLO Stand up paddleboard fun awaits the explorer on Western Lake and Destin Harbor
Always wanted to try the stand up paddleboard experience? The opportunity has arrived, as YOLO Board Adventures now offers rentals at three area locations and guided eco tours on a coastal dune lake in South Walton.
The rental and guide services for touring Western Lake is located at the WaterColor Boathouse. Rentals only are available at the Red Bar gift shop in Grayton Beach, and Gilligan’s Water Sports on Destin Harbor. YOLO Yaks and Soft Top boards are offered at all three locations.
As one of the fastest growing sports in the nation, YOLO Board co-founders Tom Losee and Jeff Archer are excited about their new venture into rentals and eco tours.
“Florida will be to SUP what Hawaii and California is to surfing,” Tom said.
In addition to rentals and guided tours, the Boathouse location at WaterColor offers board storage and retail as well.
“It will be club-like, something like a cross between a golf club and a ski shop,” Tom explained.
Wetlands master naturalist, Murray Balkcom of WalCo Eco Tours, is hosting the guided tours. Murray offers an educational interpretive on the coastal dune lake’s ecosystem along with a walk along the dune trail at Grayton Beach State Park.
Head out and have fun exploring nature while enjoying a day of YOLOing!
