Join Topsail Hill Preserve State Park for Love Tracks, a 5K Fun Run/Walk on February 16, 2019 from 7 – 10:30 a.m. While on a paved trail through the park race participants will enjoy a beautiful view of long leaf pines, saw palmettos and a variety of other plants and animals.
Those running or walking the 5K without a dog will start at 8:00 a.m. Race entrance fees for the 8 a.m. wave are $10 for children and $25 for adults and included a full size finisher medal. Those running or walking with a dog will start at 8:45 a.m. For the 8:45 a.m. wave race entrance fees are $5 for children, $10 for adults, $15 for adults with a dog ($5 for each additional dog) and includes a mini finisher medal. For the safety of participants dogs are only allowed to enter with an adult. All race participants registered by January 28, 2019 will receive a bag and a t-shirt. The registered dogs will receive a bandanna. For those registering after January 28 they are only guaranteed a finisher medal as there will be very few extra bags and shirts available. Post-race celebration will be 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. and includes food, music and door prizes.
All funds raised during this event will benefit the Friends of Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and help them further their mission of supporting the park.
Advanced online registration is available until February 13, 2019 at www.topsailparkfriends.org. Limited race day registration will be available on a first come first serve basis between 7 – 8:40 a.m. Check-in and bag pick up for registered race participants is 7 – 8:40 a.m.
