Outdoor movie night at the Lakeyard in DeFuniak Springs March 11

The Special Events Committee of the City of DeFuniak Springs has announced the 2016 series of Movie Nights. The opening showing will feature Percy Jackson, the Lightning Thief on Friday, March 11, 2016. The movie will be shown on the big screen at the Amphitheatre in the Lakeyard and will begin at dusk. Jump for the Rose skydiving benefit in DeFuniak Springs March 18-20

Skydive of North Florida is hosting a special event  March 18-20. Jump for the Rose is a benefit to help provide funding for The Rose, a non-profit organization which provides support for uninsured or underinsured women in the process of receiving cancer treatment. Amtrak train makes a stop in Chipley

Hundreds of fans cheered on as an Amtrak passenger train pulled into Chipley for the first time in more than 10 years. On Feb. 19, 2016, crowds, music, an honor guard, and local officials welcomed Amtrak officials on a picture perfect morning.
