Ribbon cutting held for new Padgett Park Community Center

Center open, play area completed On Nov. 19, Walton County District 5 commissioner Cecilia Jones hosted a ribbon cutting for the new Padgett Park on J.D. Miller Road in Santa Rosa Beach. Fishing is still over the top! Choctawhatchee Bay: Great reports of folks still catching everything. Redfish, speckled trout, sheepshead, and large black drum. If you can believe it, the black drum are biting on live shrimp as are the sheepshead. Local fisherman Ron Hyden reports reds, flounder, black drum around the bayous on the west side of the Bay near Brooks Bridge and Cinco Bayou.
