Peaceful protest draws worldwide enthusiasm for clean energy At 12 Noon on June 25, clean energy enthusiasts will join hands across the globe in a peaceful protest at Hands Across The Sand. The event is an action to bring public awareness to the negative environmental effects of oil exploration and to encourage clean energy and renewables. Be watchful of baby birds in springtime

Area refuge full of orphaned baby birds As the springtime is a busy nesting season for birds, Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge encourages folks to be watchful when cutting trees, and keep an eye out for fledglings. Currently the refuge has a full house of orphaned baby birds.
